What: “Seamsee” a new app for clothing consumption transparency

For: Assignment for UX Design Upskill Program at Hyper Island

My role: UX Designer

Other contributors: Classmates for User Research, UX Design is all my own.

What is “Seamsee”?

Seamsee is a user generated platform designed to simplify the decision process around responsible clothing consumption.

It’s basically IMDB meets pricerunner for understanding sustainable fashion. By scanning the fabrication tags on their own clothing items, our users can add to our database of commonly owned clothes helping to spread awareness about the actual sustainability of popular clothing items. Together with our team of climate experts, we evaluate suppliers, factories and retailers, carefully assessing and rating almost a hundred different criteria. Making it easy know what is good for you, for your wallet and for the planet.

We believe that making good decisions should be easy for companies and consumers.

What does Seamsee mean? It’s just a funny spelling of our idea “CMC (Check My Clothes).”
You see, the seams are not always what they… seem. 😉
